Meat Series 2018-2019
The Meat Series is an investigation into the relatedness of exploitative human labor and the contemporary livestock industry. These earthenware forms were constructed using press-molded elements that I created in reference to the texture of yarn skeins. Post bisque firing, they were painted with acrylics and oil paints to mimic the sheen of raw flesh.
